Heartache by Morgan Kearns Review!
Synopsis:
One Touch
Gabrielle Ryan felt an electric attraction to her new employer the first time he reached out and shook her hand. She dreams of him, fantasizes about him, but all Nikolai wants is an assistant—and to Gabby’s chagrin, it’s not to assist him with taking off his pants!
One Beat
An ache has inhabited Nikolai Voinea’s chest for the last four hundred years. Yet stubbornly resolute not to repeat his father’s mistakes, Nikolai refuses to take the one female who is his heart’s greatest desire.
Captures His Heart Forever
When murder charges make Gabby second guess everything she knows about him, she’s hurt and angry and determined to walk away. But Nikolai’s just as determined to do everything within his power to keep her.
My Review:
This is the first novel I've read by Morgan Kearns. I thoroughly enjoyed her two novellas and this book was just as good!
Heartache is the perfect book to enjoy poolside on a sunny summer day! I should know, both the front and back cover are bent from a combination of reading and accidentally getting the book wet! One thing is for sure, this book really got a workout!
I had the pleasure of meeting Morgan in June. Her books are as wonderful as she is, without a doubt! After finishing this, I'm dying to start her other series. The writing flows and is done very well.
Heartache is about Nikoli, the vampire, and Gabby, the human, who are heart mates. Interesting and unique concept! I've never read about heart mates before. The two main characters go have a lot of conflicts to work through. Like the fact that Gabby is engaged to another man.
The ending of Heartache wraps up everything nicely while also opening up the way for a sequel, which I am pretty excited about!
Heartache is a quick and enjoyable read that should be a staple on any Paranormal Romance fans bookshelf!
5/5
