Loving a demon isn’t the end of the world—losing him is.Claire, the Devil’s assistant, knows very little about the world she was dropped into five years ago, when she inherited her mother’s unpaid debt to the Demon King. She certainly didn’t expect to be a contender for the Fallen Queen’s throne, a target for the Druid King’s mafia, or a suspect in the murder of Junior, the Devil’s oldest hell spawn. In a last ditch effort to save her life and get out of her deal with the Devil, she sets out to solve Junior’s murder only to be taken prisoner by the four most dangerous immortal hell spawn alive. Not to be out done, the Pagan Queen Mab, claims Claire for entering her realm uninvited. She has an old debt to settle with her brother the Devil. Taking Claire from him after losing her years ago is just icing on the cake. Will Claire win her freedom, and save herself from the Devil? Or be trapped by Mab forever?

Out of all of your characters, who is your favorite?
How many books
have you written? What are their titles?
I’ve written
three books. Two are middle grade/YA novellas (Keegan’s Point & Nowhere,
NJ), which I decided to self publish a few years ago through Smashwords. The
third is Dark Hope, my full length Urban Fantasy novel that was just released
in March by Champagne Books.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?
I love making
my own t-shirts, and painting. My day job keeps me busy and I’ve had to travel
for work more than usual over the last few years, but luckily I can write from
anywhere.
What advice would you give to an aspiring author?
What advice would you give to an aspiring author?
Never give up.
Figure out right away if you’re a plotter or a pantser (I’m a pantser). Find
local writing resources and ways to connect with other writers in your area. In
Florida we
have the FWA (floridawriters.net), which organizing writers groups throughout
the state, and hosts conferences for writers.
What's the hardest thing about writing? The easiest?
What's the hardest thing about writing? The easiest?
Hardest:
sitting down and writing. Since this is not my fulltime job, I don’t have a
daily quota. My day job is writing software. Some days it comes out fast and
furious, other days it’s like pulling teeth. Novel writing is the same.
Easiest: idea
creation and plotting. After discovering I was a pantser (I plotted the first
book idea to the point of tossing it), I now come up with a general plan and
write towards that plan. This lets me write what strikes my fancy and take
characters in surprising directions. I will occasionally brainstorm plot
points, but I never write anything close to an outline.
What are you currently reading?
What are you currently reading?
I am a huge
audio-book-aholic. I just finished listening to The Undead Pool by Kim
Harrison. But I do still read normal books. I’m about to start my friend Ceci
Giltenan’s new Highland Romance, Highland Courage.
What
are you currently working on?
Book 2
J … I have three books planned
for this series. I have completed versions of books 2 & 3, however, both
need significant rework based on changes made during editing of book 1 (Dark
Hope).
What books did you read as a child?
