Release Date: October 31st Genre: Contemporary Romance

Mr-President-Amazon-Ebook.jpg

He's won the hearts of millions. But is he willing to lose his?
I met the president’s son when we were both young. Matthew Hamilton was handsome, polished, and intelligent. I’d never met a guy like him.
He promised me that he’d never run for president. I promised that if he did, I’d be by his side.
Three terms later, an invitation to join Matthew Hamilton’s campaign is the most exhilarating opportunity I’ve ever experienced. I'm determined to make a difference; he is determined to win.
Focused on his goal, Matt is steadfast, ruthless, and disarming. All eyes are on him and his popularity is surging. But soon, the next possible president of the United States is possessing me in more ways than one—and despite the risks, I'm helpless to resist.
We're stealing touches, stealing moments, and stealing away at night. But our chemical connection is quickly becoming dangerously combustive, putting not only my heart, but Matt's chance at the presidency on the line.
Winning will take everything. Walking away will be the hardest thing of all.

This was a genius release with the election right around the corner. I would totally vote for Matt Hamilton! I love how Katy writes all of these amazing characters that are vastly different, and manages to make me swoon every single time I pick up one of her books. I have never read any books featuring politics, so I was interested to see how this plot would play out since I don't really care for the subject. I was pleasantly surprised. The romance is split with the politics, so there is a nice blend of both. The forbidden aspect is sexy and adds a little suspense. I enjoyed both of the main characters and thought they had great chemistry together. The one thing I would change would be the age difference between the characters. (13 years- It didn't take away from my enjoyment of the story,  but I thought the gap was on the large side.) But other than that, I loved everything about this book.

Mr. President is a well written romance novel with a unique plot and great characters. It was a quick and enjoyable read. I thought this was a standalone, so the ending was quite the shock. But I am happy to read more about these characters and see where the second book takes them. If you love contemporary romance or any of Katy Evans other books, definitely pick this one up! Katy never disappoints!

Review: Dragon Red: A Fire Unfed by Macy Babineaux!

dragon_red400

Love is a fire that needs to be fed.
Kal Wildfire roams the Burning Sands with no memory of who he is or how he got there. A desert witch will set him on the path to regain his identity and to find what he truly needs.
Thalia Thistledown is a shy, beautiful young woman living in a warren of other rabbit shifters in the Hartglade Forest. But in the blink of an eye she will lose everything as a marauding army of snake soldiers mercilessly destroys everything she holds dear.
As their paths cross, Kal will need Thalia's help to complete his journey to recover his memory and powers. Thalia will need Kal's help to find new purpose in a world where she has lost everything. And they will need to work together to stop the plans of a demon and two dragon shifters determined to tear the world apart and remake it in their image.
Along the way, they will learn that sometimes a flower of hope grows from the ashes of tragedy, and sometimes you have to forget who you were to realize who you really want to be.
Dragon Red: A Fire Unfed is the second book in the Dragonlords of Xandakar series. It has a happy ending and a little bit of steam, and you won't be lost if you haven't read the first book.

I loved Dragon Red book even more than the first book! Which is saying something because I really enjoyed book 1. I love the multiple points of view and feel they really drive and enhance the story. I love getting into everyone's head to learn not only their thoughts, but their motives as well. This story (as well as book one) is a wonderful blend of paranormal romance, great writing and a fascinating world. The plot has all kinds of twists and turns and is wonderfully complex. Dragon Red was a quick read because I couldn't pull myself away from the story.

While a lot of the world building is laid out in book one, I was still excited that we got to explore more of the world along with our main female character, Thalia. Seeing brief glimpses of past characters was an enjoyable addition to this story. I hope we are able to see more of them in future books and am excited to see how everything will fall into place. This book brings about new kinds of shifters and it was interesting to see how two creatures so vastly different fell in love. This story is more tame in the sensual department than the first book, but I liked that the two stories were so different. I loved the suspense of Kal journeying to discover himself and watching the romance bloom.

I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! I would highly recommend this series to any paranormal romance lover.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC.

Review: Sex Machine by Marie Force

He’s good for one thing and one thing only—and she wants it bad.

Honey Carmichael has never had a decent orgasm, and she’s out to change that with the one man in town known for his superior skill between the sheets.

Blake Dempsey is happy to help Honey with her “problem” as long as she knows he’s only interested in sex. His heart was broken when his high school girlfriend was killed in the car he was driving, and he has nothing to offer other than more orgasms than Honey can handle.

Which is just fine with her—until fantastic orgasms aren’t enough anymore for either of them and unexpected feelings turn hot sex into messy entanglement—and that most definitely wasn’t in the plans.

But you know what they say about plans…

A sexy, dirty stand-alone romance intended for MATURE audiences. If you can’t take the heat in Blake’s bedroom, stay out or you might get burned. You’ve been warned!

This was a fun and quick read. I enjoyed the characters, mostly Honey for her attitude and determination. I enjoyed the cast of secondary characters and wouldn't mind seeing a few of them have their own book, Lauren specifically. There are quite a few sex scenes in this book, as the title suggests, so this book isn't for anyone that doesn't like that sort of thing. Sex Machine is the perfect book to sit beside the pool with on a hot summer day. It's sexy and entertaining. Both characters have some issues and flaws; I like that they added to the story without being overdone. The writing was good but there wasn't much of a plot outside of the relationship between the two main characters. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but the story is mostly sex.

My only problem with sex Machine is that I feel the romance happened a bit too quickly for my liking. I did enjoy that these characters had been friends since childhood, but to go from friends to engaged in two months wasn't believable for me. I don't think that will stop others from enjoying the book, it's more of a personal preference.

Definitely give this one a go if you're looking for a steamy standalone.

Review: Deadly Silence by Rebecca Zanetti!

29630021

The first book in a breathtaking new romantic suspense series that will appeal to fans of New York Times bestsellers Maya Banks, Lisa Gardner, and Lisa Jackson.

DON'T LOOK BACK

Under siege. That's how Ryker Jones feels. The Lost Bastards Investigative Agency he opened up with his blood brothers has lost a client in a brutal way. The past he can't outrun is resurfacing, threatening to drag him down in the undertow. And the beautiful woman he's been trying to keep at arm's length is in danger...and he'll destroy anything and anyone to keep her safe.

Paralegal Zara Remington is in over her head. She's making risky moves at work by day and indulging in an affair with a darkly dangerous PI by night. There's a lot Ryker isn't telling her and the more she uncovers, the less she wants to know. But when all hell breaks loose, Ryker may be the only one to save her. If his past doesn't catch up to them first...

Full of twists and turns you won't see coming, DEADLY SILENCE is New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti at her suspenseful best.

I was so excited to read this because I love the Sin Brothers series. Deadly Silence is just as good! (And I am so happy that we got to see a brief glimpse of the Sin Brothers. Especially Nate! Hopefully we get to see them more in future books because I missed them and loved seeing their iterations with our new heroes.) I won't give too much away, but readers will enjoy this book whether they have read the other series or not. It has tons of action and romance with lots of intrigue and suspense. It's a quick and sexy read that will get your blood pumping. Deadly Silence is written in the fast and addictive writing all of Rebecca's books are known for and I cannot get enough of. It kept me on my toes and I cannot wait to read more in this series!

**I also really like this cover!
