Destiny Awaits by Jaidis Shaw Review!

Synopsis:
Twenty-year-old Alayna Scott receives visions around water, but even her foresight couldn’t prepare her for the tragic accident that claimed the lives of her parents. With everything she loves gone, Alayna packs up and moves to the small town of Juniper Grove in hopes of starting over.

Jayden McKnight can’t explain the attraction that he feels whenever Alayna is near, but he does know that he will do whatever it takes to win her heart. When a vampire selects Alayna as his next victim, Jayden will stop at nothing to ensure her safety – even if that means bringing Alayna into a world that she never knew existed.

Love blossoms, challenges are made and Alayna will find herself fighting not only to survive, but to understand what she has become.

My Review:

Destiny Awaits is Jaidis Shaw's debut novel. It's the wonderful beginning to what I think will be a great series.

This story takes place in Juniper Grove, a place full of colorful paranormal creatures. It's a short and fast read that is both well written and entertaining. I felt like I jumped right into the story without the need to get my toes wet. It's fast paced and action packed, complete with romance and a paranormal element, making this story worthy of the love of any PNR lover! Seriously, check it out!

All the characters are great. There is such chemistry not only between the couples, but the friendships as well. I'd love to see a prequel between Jayden's parents! All of Jayden's friends and fellow shifters were hilarious. I miss them already! Alayna is a humerus, strong female character, which is one of the things that makes the story great! Violet was an interesting character as well.

I also have to mention the cover! It's lovely and fantastic and really captured the essence of the story!

I'm anxiously awaiting the next book in the Chronicles! I'd love to get to know more about the town and its inhabitants!

4/5

Happy Reading!
Kristina
