Reasons why YOU should read Creatura by Nely Cab!

Kathryn's Reasons:

•One of the most beautifully enchanted books of 2012

•Eloquently written in which the words flow off the page and are stamped on your soul

•The most mesmerizing man, David, that will capture your heart with his piercing devotion,

unyielding love, and passionate prose...

•To a new heroine, Isis, that is strong yet compassionate, stubborn yet understanding....

•A twist to the mythological legends that will entrance you...

Shelley's Reasons:

1. It's beautiful; from the original artwork by Nely on the cover to the lovely fonts, the lryical script of Isis' diary and David's prose, the sultry pace that drives you to the end. It's just beautiful.

2. The mythology; rich, evocative, it's the history lesson you missed or wish you'd been given and then some. It's colorful and complicated.

3. A STRONG, smart, thoughtful and believable heroine. Isis is the girl you wish you could be. She faces life head on and doesn't back down from her convictions. She's not perfect. She a frightened girl detemined to find a solution to her problems who finds love along the way.

4. A dream of a hero. A literal dream. David is not what you'd expect and everything you want.

5. It's classic story of finding yourself, your true love and the meaning of life...with a Nely twist. Nothing worth having is easily gotten. And you have to fight for what you believe in.

Kristina's (my) Reasons:

1.)   Creatura is a book that has not only been loved by us, but by many! Out of 125 ratings on Goodreads, 77 are 5-star and 24 are 4-star! Its overall rating is 4.34!
2.)   Creatura is a magnificent tale of true love that will capture your heart and take your breath away! It is also a novel that shows the importance of friendship and family.
3.)   The writing is powerful, lyrical, and truly sets this book apart from others! Nely has a distinct and unique voice that I look forward to reading lots more from!
4.)   The story is a fantastic blend of mythology, swoon worthy romance, characters that you will love and hate, and heart pounding action with a wicked cliff hanger ending.
5.)   David. David, the beloved hero of the story, is every girls dream. He is romantic, protective, strong, smart, and won over my heart by just speaking.

Review for Creatura by Nely Cab

My Review:

I'm struggling with finding the words to write this review, that it how good this book is.

Creatura is a magical tale of true love, friendship, family, and a has fresh and unique spin on deities. It is full of action, suspense, and swoon worthy romance. I LOVED IT! It's one of those books that you literally cannot put down because it hooks you in and doesn't let you go until you finish it. I guarantee I'll be thinking about it for the next few days.

The writing is amazing! Nely has such a distinct voice. It is something that really sets this book apart from others. The writing is very intelligent, but not complicated so that people do not understand what's being said. David's dialog is exquisite. I fell in love with him because of the almost Shakespearean way he spoke.

All the characters are great too (even the minor ones). Isis is a character that you'd like to be friends with it she was real. She's very mature for her age, stubborn, and she's not your typical teenager. She is incredibly strong as far as heroine's of the YA genre go, and I enjoyed the relationship she had with her mother. I found her to be very similar to myself, and that helped me relate to and love the book even more. (Hello, she likes Green Day!) David-oh, David. I fell in love with him right away. He's chivalrous, protective, smart, and incredibly charming-basically every girls dream guy. Can I have a David clone, please? I loved his poetry throughout the novel. Their love story was beautiful. One day I hope to find a love as wonderful as theirs. Their chemistry was palpable, and the fact that the tension had built up for a while really made fireworks go off when the moment finally came for them to be together.  It wasn't rushed and it was believable. That's another thing I loved about the book. The pacing was just right.  I was actually sad when the novel ended because I became attached to the characters as I read their story.

The setting is fantastic too! I'm a Texas girl, myself, and Nely is as well, so she tells Texas like it is. I love the fact that the house David lives in is an actual place, a beautiful place, and that Nely shows pictures of it to her fans on her fan page. Plus, I love the cover! :)

Creatura is one of the best books I've read so far in 2012. I cannot wait until the next book comes out because of the cliff-hanger at the end of the book! Seriously, when will book two be out? I'm dying over here!

I encourage you to pick up this book if you are looking for a magnificent love story with a paranormal twist!

Happy Reading!

Hell's Phoenix by Gracen Miller review!

ARC review- A big Thank you to Gracen for providing it!

A book this good should get more than five stars! If you loved the previous books, you will LOVE this one! It is one of the best books I have read in a while!

Hell's Phoenix is the dark and sensual continuation of the Road to Hell series.   All our favorite characters are there- Madison, Micah, Nix, Amos, and Zen- as well as some new characters that are just as delightful- Kur. I won't spoil the fun, but let's just say that Kur fits in perfectly with this supernatural group! ;) A lot of the characters change dramatically throughout the novel. A dangerous, new type of succubus is revealed. Zen is put on the spotlight a little bit more, and we find out just how much Micah cares about his Madison. Never before have I been stuck between which guy I like more in a love triangle, but I can't pick between them!

I stated in my Pandora's Box review that Nix and Madison had explosive chemistry, and we get a good dose of that in this book. But my feelings towards Micah are growing and he and Madison have a different type of chemistry that is just as good. The scenes between the three of them are amazing.

Hell's Phoenix was an emotional roller coaster and one hell of a sequal. There were a couple scenes that actually had me in tears! This is one of those books that will have you staying up until the early hours of the morning because you cannot put the book down because you cannot wait to find out what comes next! I think the cover fits beautifully with the mood of the story, as well. And the actual meaning of the title will surprise you! It's not what you think it is!

Gracen Miller is such a talented writer. She writes incredibly scary descriptions of Hell- not sure how I did not have nightmares- and then switches to incredibly sexy love scenes the next! And it is done perfectly!

If you have not picked up these books yet, you need to quick! They are the perfect blend of romance, action, and horror that will have you addicted in no time!

Hell's Phoenix blurs the line between good and evil. Which side will you choose?

I cannot wait until the next installment of the series is released! And until this one is out in paperback so I can add it to my shelf!

Covet by Felicity Heaton review!

They’ve burned for each other for two years, the forbidden attraction between them growing each night. Now resisting the sinful desires of their hearts is becoming impossible.

Javier knows better than to succumb to his hunger for Lilah. The mortal female belongs to a powerful aristocrat patron of Vampirerotique, the theatre he runs with three other vampires. A single touch is all it would take to break the sacred law of his kind, sentencing himself to death, but his passion for her has become too fierce to ignore and he will risk everything to make Lilah his.

Lilah has fought her desire for Javier since arriving at his theatre as a servant but each glance he has stolen, his eyes promising pleasure that will satisfy her longing for him, has chipped away at her defences and she can no longer deny her need and her forbidden feelings for the powerful vampire male.

When they find themselves alone in a private box during one of the erotic performances, will they surrender to their passion and live out their wildest fantasies in a night of wicked pleasure or will the threat of Lilah’s master keep them apart forever?

My Review:
Covet is the first Vampire book I have read from Felicity. I've read her Angel series and adored each installment, so I was eager to read and review this. I was not disappointed. Felicity Heaton is a wonderful author with a gift for storytelling and a unique voice!

Covet, though it is a quick read, is packed with action and extremely steamy love scenes that are wonderfully written. The whole book itself is very romantic. Javier and Lilah are great together. They love each other so much and their chemistry is off the charts. The Secondary characters are as great as the main ones. I can't wait to read more about them. The story is unique and I am eagerly awaiting the sequel Crave.

Overall, if you are looking for a unique, phenomenal paranormal romance quickie filled with action, romance, steamy love scenes, great characters, complete with true love then I recommend this.

5/5 stars!

Happy Reading!

Sexy Valentine's Day character interview with Micah, Nix, and Madison from Pandora's Box/Hell's Phoenix!

As much as I hate to say it, Happy Valentine's Day, KB&M fans! Today I'm sharing my favorite interview I've ever done! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Kristina: *crosses legs and straightens hair* Welcome to the blog, Madison, Micah, and Nix. First off, let me say that I am honored to have you on the blog for the holiday I despise! Secondly, I apologize in advance for some of the upcoming questions. *winks* How have all of you been and what have you been up to?

Nix: Glad to be here. I like those boots. *flashes dimples* Have you kicked any demon ass with them yet? Wanna help me kick some demon ass?

Micah: Never apologize, sweetheart. *winks* Nix, as for you and Kristina kicking demon ass…I predict it’ll end in more like you tapping that ass.

Madison: Micah! *backhand to his chest* Ahem…thanks, Kristina, for having us. *tosses hair over her shoulder* It's been crazy-wild with my rescue mission to save Nix from Hell.

Micah: Nix did not need saving.

Madison: *tosses him a sharp glance* Beg to differ there, Micah. *turns to Kristina* Nix wanted saving like a drug addict wanted forced rehab, but you know how stubborn I can be.

Nix: Mads, I thought a southern lady never confessed to the unladylike stubborn trait. *winks*

Madison: Getting Nix out of Hell went as predictable as a southern winter. *grins* Up and down and never what you expect.

Nix: *chuckles*

Micah: Terrible analogy. *shakes his head* Nix made a mighty fine demon.

Kristina: Thank you, Nix. I do love my boots. Sounds like y'all have been going through a lot. Can I offer y'all any refreshments?

Madison: No, thank you.

Nix: *holds up bottle of water* I'm good.

Micah: Whiskey. Neat.

Kristina: What is your ideal Valentines Day?

Madison: I usually let Amos decide what we do that day. Sometimes we go to an amusement park. Been ice skating a time or two. Shopping for something he’s been wanting. We always end up at his choice of restaurant. He drew me a Valentine’s Card last year. Best gift I’ve ever received.

Nix: If I'm lucky...*peeks at Mads* Nevermind.

Micah: *chuckles* I’ll finish Nix’s comment for him, if he’s lucky, he’s getting lucky. *winks*

Madison: *shakes head*

Micah: My ideal Valentines were the ones I shared with Madison. Nights filled with romance. A lot of dancing...

Madison: I always did like the dancing.

Micah: Holding her in my arms on the dance floor made the evening special regardless how it ended.

Kristina:  Where's the weirdest spot you've had or want to do the dirty deed. *leans in close* Feel free to be as descriptive as you like. *cheeky grin*

Madison: *flushes and pats her burning cheeks* I believe that question is for you, Nix.

Nix: *wicked grin* Sweetheart, whatever you can imagine, I've been in that weird spot. I'd have to say in a wheelbarrow is the weirdest. True story. It was a little awkward at first—

Micah: Wait! *holds hand up* A wheelbarrow, Phoenix? How the hell did you end up in a gardening device?

Nix: Well, Alessa kissed me and the wheelbarrow seemed like a fantastic spot to rest in until we could take it elsewhere. We just never took it elsewhere. *laughs* Don’t knock it till you try, demon king. It worked...until it fell on its side and we tumbled into fertilizer. *wipes the grin off his face with his palm* In hindsight, we should've picked a better spot. We smelled rank, but dayum...Alessa always knew how to have a good time. Your turn demon king.

Micah: A wheelbarrow is not a spot of my choosing. *peers at Kristina* One might think Hell with a succubus or other demonic spawn is a weird spot. It is my favorite locale to do the dirty deed. *grins* I can’t wait to take Madison there.

Madison: *rolls eyes* Keep dreaming.

Kristina: Whipped cream or chocolate?

Madison: Chocolate.

Micah: Both.

Nix: I agree with Micah on this one. *slow, crooked smile that exposes one dimple* Definitely both.

Kristina: Okay, Nix and Micah, boxers, briefs, or commando? *winks* And then I guess it's only fair if Madison tells us what kind she wears too.

Micah and Nix: *laugh*

Nix: Commando.

Madison: Oh, Lord…that’s a bit personal. And TMI, Nix.

Micah: Boxer briefs or commando. Depends on my mood. *runs his fingertip along Madison’s knuckles* What’cha wearing right now, kitten.

Madison: Micah…*refuses to meet his gaze* Gawd, that’s none of your business.

Nix: Play along, Mads.

Micah: You’re always telling us to play along in other interviews. *pinches her chin between finger and thumb and turns her head so he can look into her eyes* Lace, silk or cotton?

Madison: *swallows* Lace.

Micah: You never used to wear granny panties, so…bikini or thong?

Madison: Bikini.

Micah: Color?

Madison: *licks her lips* Red.

Micah: Mmm…*fiery gleam hits his eyes* I can imagine how sexy you look in them.

Nix: *groans* Me, too.

Kristina: Rough sex or slow lovemaking? *blushes*

Madison: *joins the blushing* Taking myself out of that question because we all know my stance on sex. *raises eyebrows at Micah*

Micah: That’ll change, kitten. *blows her a kiss* Again…both. They’re equally fun, depending on the mood and the sex partner. I’m thinking Madison will need a lot of slow lovemaking to change her opinion of sex. I’m eager to teach her.

Madison: *snorts* Nix’s turn.

Nix: *voice deepens* Oh, yeah, both. Sometimes rough turns into slow. Other times slow is so good, I can’t help but get a little rough. Trust me, picking one over the other is impossible.

Kristina: Madison, what is your favorite Valentine’s Day gift that was not from Amos?

Madison: *a nervous glance in Micah’s direction* A heart-shaped locket Micah gave me. On the inside are his and Amos’s pictures.

Micah: *a pleased grin as his fingers wisp across his bottom lip* Do you remember what I had inscribed on the back of it?

Madison: Yes. *fiddles with her fingers in her lap* Be mine for eternity. I thought it romantic at the time. Knowing what I know now, the inscription holds a much different meaning.

Kristina: What do you each find most attractive about the opposite sex?

Madison: Dependability. Or if you’re referring to looks, I’m a sucker for kissable lips…and dimples. Never knew until recently dimples could be so…sexy.

Nix: *grins and points to his dimples*

Madison: *blushes*

Micah: Everything. *crosses ankle over knee* It’s the total package that makes up the beauty, not just one thing. But I’ve discovered that stubbornness to defy one’s destiny is very appealing.

Nix: I’m typically a boobs and butt man. But with Mads, those weren’t the first things I found attractive. *shakes head* No, it was her bravery that charmed me first.

Kristina: Well, that looks like all the time we have today. Thanks so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to join us.

Micah: *inclines his head* Anytime, sweetheart.

Nix: I enjoyed it.

Madison: It was my pleasure.
